Hamilton Park Summer Basketball League 14th Season!

Ladies and Gentlemen! 

Welcome to our 14th season of some great competitive Boy’s High School Basketball at beautiful Hamilton Park in Jersey City. We will begin our season on Monday, June 6th thru August 10th. The Hamilton Park Summer League would like to welcome our new Director of Jersey City Recreation: Mr. Kevin Williamson. Congratulations Mr. Williamson! This season, we will be welcoming some new competitive teams. We will post all the teams in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned! 🙂

St. Anthony’s Wins Record 13th TOC Title!!

Congratulations to St. Anthony’s HS for winning their 13th TOC Title! Coach Bob Hurley and the Friars complete a perfect season, finishing with a 32-0 record. Hamilton Park Summer League Letter to the Jersey Journal!

Another outstanding season of the Hamilton Park Summer Basketball League has just concluded with 500 spectators enjoying a decisive St. Anthony’s win in the championship game.

As residents of Hamilton Park, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of the players, coaches, parents, sponsors, and especially the Jersey City Department of Recreation personnel who make the Summer League a success. Pat Devaney and his staff deserve special plaudits. They run the Summer League with extraordinary professionalism and dedication which shows in the quality of competition they are able to attract and the heightened sense of community in Hamilton Park on every day the tournament runs.

My Staff and I would like to thank Mayor Steve Fulop, the Jersey City Municipal Council, and Director Ryan Strother for supporting our 13th season at Hamilton Park.  Special thanks to Moishe’s Moving and Storage for purchasing our reversible jerseys, and KRE Real Estate Group for purchasing our shorts this season.  Sincere Thanks to all our sponsors for once again for their generosity in supporting the Hamilton Park Summer League. Thanks to Tony Frier and Staff of 9th & Coles for a great summer of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and drinks.  Most of all we would like to thank you the fans, and the Hamilton Park Community who came out to watch the games every night. Your support is a part of what makes our league such a great success.  To all the coaches and participants, you have made our 13th season one of the most competitive seasons. Congratulations to Saint Anthony’s HS on winning the championship this season job well done.  Our 14th season in 2016 we will continue in making our league one of the best summer leagues in the Tri-state area. We would like to present the MVP of the Hamilton Park Summer League: Old Bridge’s Stephen Strom. Strom was a team player and showed great shooting every single game. The shooter from Old Bridge will be a senior this upcoming season. We wish him the best of luck this season and his future endeavors! 🙂

St. Anthony’s Jagan Mosely Commits to Georgetown!

St. Anthony’s guard Jagan Mosely has committed to the University of Georgetown on a full academic and athletic scholarship! Mosely has played in the Hamilton Park Summer League since coming into St. Anthony’s. We wish him the best of luck in his senior year at St. Anthony’s and his future endeavors.
